Vilinius, Lithuania -- Jan 07, 2014 / (http://www.myprgenie.com) --  AmberCore DC of Lithuania announced today it has executed an agreement with IBM to design a state-of-the-art TIER III data center facility near Vilnius, Lithuania (AmberCore DC Facility). The companies will work together to highlight advantages of having Lithuania as a viable option for worldwide clients wishing to house data in a geographically and politically safe environment both when looking to set up managed services and co-location presence, or when seeking to economically set up recovery and resilience operations.

The first phase of the plan to develop and commission the facility calls for  600 racks at 5KW power supply each. IBM will design the facility to comply with the Uptime Institute's Tier III requirements for Data Center Operations.

The design and co-marketing activities are first of several steps in the development and operations of the proposed center that are contemplated by the parties. Global marketing activities will start at the IBM PartnerWorld conference in Las Vegas on February 10th, 2014, followed by presentations at similar events and at private demonstrations worldwide.

"After extensive research we felt that IBM, a world leader in data center development, would offer our group the best global reach, quality and partnership infrastructure, both during development and operations phases. In addition to the marketing activities, we are also starting discussions with potential clients interested in this cutting-edge facility.
